The 21^st century is the age of technology. Hand in hand with this technology is the emergence of different social media. Social media indeed doesn’t only entertain people but more importantly it helps spread the information. The downside about this quick diffusion of news is that even gossips that are often malicious would spread like a wild fire, causing bigger damage. The downside also about this so called social media is that it often obstructs the physical interaction between people; which is ironic in the sense that social media was put together to make socialization easier.

Despite of the plausible negative effects of using social media, people can’t deny the fact that social media really made our lives easier, especially those people in the media industry. Social media in the end are just tools that aid man to make his life comfortable and trouble-free, in accordance to that, it all boils down to the usage of man of it. The decision to either make this social media beneficial or not still depends in man’s hands.

The recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 last January 12^th brought a lot of exciting gadgets and electronic products that would surely make 2012 more thrilling. Nokia Lumia 900 poses as threat for Apple Company as it has features and functionality that are at par with their latest model, the iPhone 4s. There are a lot of amazing and advanced features the new model possess compared to its predecessor, Lumia 800. While many are asserting that Nokia’s latest model could make Apple run for its money but then there are also sceptical about the capability of the phone compared to iPhone 4s.

Lumia 900 is run in a single core processor while iPhone 4s is in a dual core processor. It could be a let-down for those who are avid gamers and to those who love multitasking. Both phones however has a good camera capability as they have 8-megapixel camera yet iPhone can shoot higher resolution videos with its 1020 p HD compared with the Lumia 720 p. In addition, iPhone 4s has a front camera. Moreover, it seems iPhone is keeping a head start because of its storage capacity where it provides three storage options; 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB while Lumia 900 only has 16 GB. Both phones on the other hand do not provide SD card option, so there is no chance for possible memory expansion.

It seems that iPhone 4s may be a little better when it comes to specs but Lumia 900 is more exciting and iconic than it because it is a 4G phone. Many were quite disappointed with iPhone 4s as they were expecting it in a 4G network but it was released instead as a 3G phone.

The release of the new smartphone model of Nokia, the Lumia 900, created a buzz especially when it was introduced in the Las Vegas Electronic Show last January 10 2012. This is a big leap for the company as they are set to release the Lumia 900 to the United States, unlike what they did to Lumia 800 where they only distributed to Europe and Asia.

Lumia 900 offers good specs that qualify it as a good contender against Android phones and iPhone. Nokia Lumia 900 has 4.3 inch, 480*800 PR AMOLED capacitive touch screen. It will run using the Windows 7.5 mango platform in a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm MSM8255 single core processor. The memory capacity of the Lexus 900 is just the same with the Lexus 800 as both have 16 GB storage capacity and a 512 MB ram. Nokia’s latest smartphone does not offer an SD card option just like the leading smartphones today like iPhone 4s.

Nokia models have also been doing well in terms of camera as Nokia Lumia 900 has the 8 megapixel-camera just like what iPhone 4s has. AT the same time, it is known to provide decent and excellent photos as observed from the previous model, Lumia 800. It also has a 720p video that can take high-resolution video.

Nokia’s new phone will be available only under AT &T mobile carrier at the price of $590. The price is good as Lumia 900 offers new and advanced functionality. This is a good option for those who are planning affordable smartphones.
